I don't hate anyone from the main cast. Least interesting for me would be Windboy

I do hate Alan tough. Not only does he share the name with a pretty cool guy from Sky,(The Rolent Airport ticket counter dude) he's awful at everyhing he does

He sucks at swordfighting and at studying, but instead of bettering himself he screams at his childhood friend.

And the worst of it all? If you decide not to do his pity quest it screws you out of Max AP Rank since there is such a huge tail connected to this particular quest

As far as character archetypes go, I must say none of the main cast are very enjoyable at the beginning, because they're literally just cookie-cutter characters. But y'know, there's a whole game after the beginning.

Eliot, personality wise, he's annoying as hell. Always say something like he's so tired or "How did we win?" and "I thought we're done for".

This guy is a real chicken wuss. If any cadet says something like this in a real military academy he'll get to do 5000 push-up from dawn to dusk.

Thanks god this game isn't hard enough to the point that you'll need a dedicated healer in your party. So I always put Elliott in the reserve team.

Machias and Jusis because they just won't admit they both want to have passionate sex with each other already. Typical overdrawn anime romance bullcrap!!!!!!!

On a serious not yeah I don't like Elliot either. I think he wets himself on his orbal staff whenever he fights a monster. That thing probably really stinks by now.

Machias was my hate sink when I first started playing the game. He started the whole feud with his "nobles get out rrreeee"

He becomes much better over the course of the games though. So I don't hate him anymore, and I think the main cast as a whole are quite likeable.

Maybe Gaius because he's just so flat.

I don't dislike Elliot's character but I do not like his voice actor. Very annoying and grating. Same for Machias.

Rean is a one dimensional square for most of the first game then he grows up towards the end and mans up in 2.
