What alot of people fail to understand is that good voice acting usually comes down to direction and translation quality more than actor talent (I've heard great actors sound like amateurs across various dubs). A great deal of effort was put into this localisation, giving actors plenty of context for their lines. Instructor Sara is probably the best example of this.
Unfortunately people just go on automatic hate mode when it comes to anything with English dub. Anyone who tries to say otherwise to them are labeled as defending the evil company and they'll also assume you're an American.

People can say this game has "great English dub".

But the best English dub in the world is still inferior to an ordinary Japanese dub.

That's an unfortunately very narrow-minded view of things. :(

This kind of statement says everything about your age and actual understanding of quality voice work.

It's the truth.

Even with the best English dub you can find on this planet, you'll have anime characters or live action actors speaking English, making them look weird automatically no matter how great the Eng voice actors try to do their job.

No, it is an opinon. An opinined formed by someone that I assume to be a teenager that is far too into the "anime should only be Japanese" mindset to actually form a solid understanding of voice work and why some dubs do and some dubs don't work. Nothing wrong with that, I was that way at one time as well. You'll grow out of it eventully.

Nope, the more I grow up, the more I think English dubbed anime & games are horrible.

It sounds cliche to say this but that's more of a personal problem. You associate anime characters with japanese voices and can't reconcile the difference when they're voiced by an english actor. Thats fine by the way, just don't say it as if it's some kind of objective truth when it's really your own correlation.

It sounds more like you have a preference for the sound of Japanese voices versus the ones used for American dubs. That's fine, everyone has preferences, but your preference does not translate into actual facts.

The funny thing is, much of what anime is was defined by western influence. Armchair historians overlook the post-war radical changes in Japanese art.

It hilarious btw how dumbed down the english version is as well. Like, you have japanese dialogue, and then your character will describe every thing that somebody who is braindead might have missed in english.

You meet a butler, talk to him. "Hmm, this guy must be a butler!" ...really. You think so? How retarded do you think i am?

I see that people are saying that the English dub is great. They are not using the voices that you can hear in the trailer? Those were just extremely bad.
Jeffer'son Airship 2017년 8월 3일 오전 5시 11분
That actually happens in the Japanese dialogue too.

Stuff like that is actually just a quirk of how things flow in Japanese that is hard to really translate. You see it in a ton of translations.

I would buy this with Japanese dub.
