launchWithCheats.bat

There is a file called launchWithCheats.bat and i'm guessing its for testing, if so how do we use it?

Open Command Prompt with admin priviledges and run the bat there.

I have no idea how to bring up the cheats though.

if you are in a mission and you click on a soldier and then Y you will teleport that soldier to the location of the cursor
and K destroys or kills anything under the cursor

Try out other things and find out

- In steam library, right click Xenonauts 2 then select properties.
- click "set launch options..."
- add "-cheatmode" then enter/click ok
- start game

Important cheats are:
-Ctrl+Alt+V to auto-win a mission
-T to replenish the TU of selected unit
-Y to teleport the selected unit to where your mouse cursor is.
- K destroys or kills where your mouse cursor is.

For money
- open C:\Users\"username"\Documents\My Games\Xenonauts 2\Saves
- open save file using any text editor
- search for the money value, then change it to the value you one.

Just a side note , in the game folder there is already a batch file with the -cheatmode in command line which is the topic of the OP
using that to load the game is the same as the steam launcher , just thought i would add that :)

While in strategic map: F = Dodge Fight is started, game crashes afterwards ;)

I did find a lot of stuff in the JSON (not easy to read, but..), what I really looking forward is the storage or production..

Can Storage or "instant" production somehow get archived?

just FYI you can no longer edit the money through the save game json file

i would love for someone to prove me wrong , but i just don't see anything i can use in the JSON files

Well, if you use ctrl+f and then search your money value, you will found it and then can edit it.

Add:

- U heal soldier
-- Note -- If the soldier is dead, and you use U on it, it will revive (not during the mission) and will be available for next mission, also the mission report won't give dead soldiers.
- R reload weapon without consuming magazines

If you use
- Shift+T you get 1000 TU (can explore the whole map to get soldier stat, but shooting uses TU % so will deplete them normally i.e. 700 TU for sniper aimed shot)
- Shift+U gives 1000 HP to soldier, so even if wounded, until the number is above the soldier's max HP, it will appear healed and won't go to the infirmary. Using U after this will heal back to 1000.

With U and Shift+U you can eventually have immortal soldiers, using T and R can shoot at will and complete a mission in a single turn.

And, what app is good for editing JSON files? I see the saves, but the gibberish 'snapshot' load doesn't load in the JSON tool I'm used to...

the gibberish 'snapshot' looks like encrypted data

To edit/format json files:
Download notepad ++ and open it.
Go to Plugin Manager -> Selcet JSON Viewer -> Click Install.
Restart notepad++ Now you can use shortcut to format json CTRL + ALT +SHIFT + M

This all seems complicated... Cheat engine is easy and gives you infinite cash and if you really need it, infinite time units so one squaddie can (if lucky) melee every enemy on the map to death.

Not working anymore, now the savegame files are encrypted.
Will check with the json viewer, if it works.

Save file doesn't show money. Cheat engine and artmoney don't find my value of money after second search after I am changing it...

So I have done all of this that you said to do, and there is not section in the formatted JSON file that has money value. Are you sure this is current now?

Is this the value you are speaking about? Otherwise, there is nothing that comes up with searching for money value. VALUE comes up, but otherwise, nothing.
