Beta update: .50 ammo, global leaderboard, new start screen

9:34am

A new beta build is out. If the start screen shows UPDATE instead of PLAY, restart Steam: the game and the match servers changed together, so an older build can't join a match.

New

Global leaderboard: LEADERBOARD > GLOBAL. The match servers record the points themselves (placement, time survived, eliminations, revives, supply crates, a win), so nobody can post a made-up score. Beta points are reset at launch.
.50 Cal Ammo: the Titan AMR loads its own ammo, and both come only in airdrops (12 rounds with the gun). Scopes fit it.
Aiming leans the view by your gun's reach, so a sniper sees what it can hit.
New start screen: your party in order, friends in game listed first, folding panels, painted card banners.
HOW TO PLAY is now nine pages with short clips from the game.
Parachute: a hanging animation on the way down, with your gear and cosmetics on.
Karga Kargo: the crows fly in from the nearest map edge and set the parcel down beside the post box. A teammate's dog tag is listed first on the ground and in your bag.

Balance

The Kodiak Heavy Pistol is now the Kodiak 9 (9mm, damage 34 → 30).
Bots are easier against players: wider aim, slower reactions, slower fire. Bot-versus-bot fights are unchanged.
The zone hurries up in two steps once few players are left.
The pack and dog tag drawn where someone fell are gone.

Fixes

Items dropped against a wall could end up inside it or out of reach.
Helmet, vest, bag and cosmetics disappeared while on the parachute.
The BODY, SKIN, HAIR and CLOTHES arrows reset your charm, trail and helicopter.
Hats now cover the whole head on the female character from every angle, and the Medic's gas mask fits every facing.
Flies stayed over the spot where a teammate fell after Karga Kargo brought them back.
A pump shotgun showed one round short when a shell was loaded and fired at the same moment.
After a cancelled countdown the lobby no longer showed its "starts at the latest" time.

See you at the drop.
