Maybe the game could give us a partial recoup, so we can configure the new plane as we want? Or give equipment a random survival chance like with crew?
Because being able losing so much progress due to one mistake, in a rather frantic game like this, seems very annoying
The loss doesn't sting as much, but the game doesn't give you daisies either. I try to focus on keeping my pilot, radio operator and at least one gunner alive (via survival kits) since some of their skills are essential for later missions.
If we could just get everything back it would lessen the game imo as you wouldn't care about crashing.
If my plane was to crash and burn because I made a small mistake on the runway, I probably would Alt+F4 out, because I don't want to play another five missions just to climb my way back to my current position. Especially since any of those missions might end up with a similar disaster and set me back even further.
