Question: Are you suggesting each player is controlling the same crew of a shared plane or that someone they would be near enough to each other to be bombers in formaton?
Consider that each can set its own navigator steering they would become scattered which is a huge issue on data management for a multi-player game.
im not a child (23yrs)... but anyway... i mean that there might be two planes and each controlled by one player.. :)
No THANKS!!!
I'm not sure there's a co-op game that's comparible to Bomber Command tho'
A coop mode with each player controlling their own bomber.
Then you coordinate and help each other out with doing objectives, protecting each other from enemy fighters, etc.
Easy to say, insane to implement.
How would you even steer near each other?
Many times you would be out of close view of each other?
Even if you had like an auto-formation as one plane takes damage it should become slower and thus lose position with the others.
Each plane now needs its own zone of data to manage what is going on.
Like I said, easy to say, insane to implement. Firm -1.
YES! This game NEEDS Co-op mode. It screams for it :)
I'd gladly pay for it :)
Player #1: wants to bomb a radar site to reduce the fighters
P2: Has lost three of four engines so is aborting home
P3: Is on fire and on an emergency dive but not in the same direction
P4: lost his navigator and didnt make the last turn so is in a different area of the map
While it sounds like fun the challenge is how to you manage the data and coding for that possible situation?
For instance: If fighters are spawned based on 4 bombers and one of the bombers is alone they are sooooo dead.
So no, I don't see Bomber Crew #1, "screaming" for multiplayer. Maybe Bomber Crew #2 can have the data structures put in place to manage the complex situations.
