[HELP] Stalker cat not spawning, can't get "intimidate white machairodus" feat

Hey there Ancestors community,

So I have done everything in the game except for two final evolutionary feats. One of these is under the "Feared Enemy" category. More specifically, the game wants me to intimidate a white machairodus.

Now based on what I have read, there is a special cat in the game referred to as the stalking/stalker cat. There is a chance that the cat will be either a black, golden or white machairodus, but while all three of these can be the stalker, one of these machairodi will only spawn as the stalker cat. That's the white machairodus.

The problem is, the stalker cat isn't spawning. I have passed generations, slept multiple times in the outdoors (ranging between 1-2 days), changed settlements, but still nothing.

Has anyone else encountered this problem? Is there a point in the game when they don't spawn anymore? Does anyone have any tips to help increase the chance of it spawning?

This white cat is pretty bad gameplay mechanic. You can look for it however long you want, it is nowhere to be found. You can look, listen and sniff and everything around you is clear. But should you put down your weapon, this cat magically appears and attacks. But as soon as you counterattack or climb higher to regroup, it runs away and magically disappears.
Encountered it twice just now.
Hunt animal > use all senses > everything clear
Butcher animal > use all senses > everything clear
Pick meat/bone > GRRR
Counterattack > memorized target is forgotten

If it's the stalker, you won't ever find it wandering around. It spawns out of sight, hunts you down, then runs away and despawns if it survived the encounter.
