Can we get a disable option for the tiger please?
I really enjoyed the game, untill I figured out the tiger spawning mechanic, ruins the immersion to the point that I can't even find it in me to start the game anymore. All the predators in the game are fine, but the damn spawning tigers. A limitless supply of tigers all going 100% for you, ignoring everything else, the second you touch the ground. Good idea to get the "never feel safe" feeling, very poor execution. I've even seen the thing spawn inside a wall.. several times..

Just a small edit:
I'm not saying the tiger is too hard. And I'm not saying predators isnt supposed to be a thing. I'm saying that the tiger is the most abundant creature in the forest and it ruins the gameplay that it spawns the second you touch the ground. After killing 5 of them within a few days in the same aria and their bodies start to pile up.. It simply gets a bit cringeworthy.

Hmm that is not true, Will not spoil anything but find items that will mask your scent. After a while you will be hunting them! XD

Oh is that what that other mud icon meant? I didn't even notice until I was nearly done with the game and I barely ever used it. Well either way I still think it's a dumb mechanic that they just spawn out of nowhere.

It really kills the player's desire to actually act like a monkey, and be vigilant for threats by stopping and listening and smelling, when you know that a tiger is going to spawn anyways and beeline straight for you. Maybe if it would spawn further away and the game gave a subtle hint that danger was close it would make the player go up a tree, use their senses to find the tiger and then memorize it to avoid it. As it is it's way easier to just always carry a stick and shove it up the tiger's Jurassic when it inevitably attacks you. (yeah wrong era, but it's for the joke) Then later once you've increased your attack neurons you can carry a basalt sharpener and brain it after you've used the stick.

At least crocs will eat it when it spawns on top of them.

How are going to evolve a fight (you have flight) reflex if you don't engage the predators? Sharpen one stick, and when you're attacked, stick it to that tiger and he will despawns for a good while (longer if you kill it IME). Yes it's annoying in the beginning but you have to evolve towards homosapiens, and we are the top predators today, meaning you gotta teach your hominids to be aggressors :)

What isnt true? That they spawn when you touch the ground? Cause it is. Point was that after hunting and killing them 20+ times during a single generation it gets boring and very cringeworthy. I'm not talking about the random tigers that spawn around the map.

Not talking about all predators. Just the tiger that will spawn when you touch the ground and home in on you like a missile.

That Tiger is no harder to kill than the others , when it attacks just stab it or hit it , then run after it so it attacks you again , but I noticed it seems to run faster than the others so you may not be able to catch it , develop your senses and pay attention to the sounds around you , it always groans when it is getting close , so you have lots of time to prepare , you should have a weapon in your hands at all times or near you so you can just grab it . I thought the Tiger was a real pain at 1st , but now it is just a minor annoyance .

They dont suddenly "spawn" at all. they have their lair and they roam, while you are on the ground they can track you.

"Tiger was a real pain at 1st , but now it is just a minor annoyance" - That's the whole point when I was saying the execution was real poor. First time it spawned for me, it jumped me from a bush. The same thing for the next generation or two. Was always fun to encounter the tiger, especially when I was finally able to start killing it. But then...

After a while you can learn where and when it will spawn, and how long it takes to despawn. And you just rinse and repeat. Trying to immerse myself into this game is impossible now, That the "same" damn tiger comes again and again and again to be killed. And the second the tiger dies, the next one can spawn. A harder tiger once per generation is by far enough. It gets very cringe when the most abundant animal on the planet is a freaking pressureplate-tiger that just sweeps the floor like a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ roomba.

if you have 5 apes with you then you can intimidate the tiger, until you're developed enough to hunt them. Just wait, when you get further the black panther seems to come out of nowhere, actually he's easy to spot but he attacks soo fast. practice killing boar and develop your traits

Sort of besides the point. Like I said, it's not about that the tiger is hard. The whole point is that the spawning tigers is a bad mechanic that makes the game boring and predictable and very cringeworthy when you see a tiger spawn, even inside the very rock of a cliff and despawn when you get into a tree, and repeat this process every time you touch the floor.

I'm pretty sure they spawn. One spawned right in front of my eyes after I killed a cobra and they've spawned near me on crocodile island and got eaten by a croc.

Ok , from what I've read so far , this post is a total waste of time , they are not going to change the spawn time of the Tiger when the game has been finished for like over a year .

If "probability of devs making a change" was a requirement for posts then 99% of all the discussion boards on Steam would be dead silent. Let people vent, it's not like there's much else going on in this discussion board besides people ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about bad KB+M controls.

That's just straight up wrong. Play the game a bit first. Random tigers are scattered around the map. They have some sort of path/territory. The spawning tigers does not. They bloop out of nowhere.

If the post is a waste of time, why are you commenting about it being a waste of time? Are you not wasting your time further then?
