Crash at Start Menu

So I just got the game, and when I start the game and get to the start menu, I press "A" (using a xbox 360 controller) and the game crashes and gives a message saying "We're truly sorry that your Lineage's evolution has stopped because Ancestors The Humankind Odyssey encountered a critical error. Please contract..."

I have my drivers updated. I have verified game files. I have also noticed that the game plays audio through my monitor, and not through my headphones automatically, like all my other games do.

Intel i7-6700k CPU 4.0GHz
NVIDIA Geforce GTX 1070
16GB Ram
Installed on SSD, but steam is located on a different drive.

Were you able to get this resolved? I just purchased the game and getting the same error :/

Yea I got it resolved. Restarting my computer got it to work.
