I have 100% the game. If anyone needs help ask me.
Like I said, I clocked 60+ hours right now and I keep playing this underrated gem. If any newcomer or inexperienced player wishes to quit playing because some mechanic or gameplay element is not understood, then I will gladly answer the question to keep the fanbase of this game alive.

Question: do I understand the gameplay correctly: if I want to get all possible babies I do have to change the ape played and mate with this one until all female are pregnant?

you have to pick another ape and form a couple, then mate, infinite babies
foxpyt Nov 28, 2020 @ 2:13pm
so there is no limit of nbr of babies from one female?

There are two possible babies per one female. If she can give birth to a baby then she is fertile. Your best approach would be to play as a male and highlight all females in the tribe and look for a fertile one. If you play as female you have to press a pause button and you will see in the upper left corner if the female you play is fertile or not, if she's not then she won't give birth to another child.

So to put it simply you have to change the ape if you play as female because you will give birth to only two children, but if you play as a male, then you can mate with all fertile females in a tribe with that specific male until all avaible children are born.

Someone could tell me why, after the last evolution of the species, they won't let me make any more generational changes?

You can change generation, but you can't evolve. This is because game ends at 2 million years and it won't go any further until a sequel is released.

When you change generation, only your neurons are secured, but when you evolve, entire millions of years pass. So if you reached 2 million years, then this is where the game ends, you can still complete all objectives (evolution feats) and purchase missing skills and change generation but you can't evolve any further until volume 2 of the game is released.

They spawn after you beat the game, if you have too many apes in your clan then they won't spawn.

Well, that's why I don't understand it, what doesn't allow me is a generation change and evolve if it leaves me since I have not yet reached 2,000,000 years

Alright what is the trick to unlocking omnivore? Even with 6 children i can't unlock it with full circle. It apparently needs more points, but i am already at the limit.

^ Semi-spoiler
Omnivore is a mutation that needs to be gotten through raising babies with genetic mutations to at least adulthood. Then evolving with the trait being on an adult or elder. It will most likely take multiple generations and multiple previous mutations and neurons locked in. Once the neuron is unlocked, you will have to invest in multiple neurons and eat the foods needed to unlock the different food types.

I have already completed the game. That unlocks all the mutations. I have already unlocked all the prerequisite unlocks (eggs, meat, mushrooms etc) and i have filled them up aswell. I have unlocked the last omnivore skill aswell but i have not filled it up (the one where all the previous 4 unlocks merge), but i cant fill it up. Even with 6 children (and i understand that 6 adults + 6 children is max you can have) and fully filled up xp circle i can't fill the last omnivore point up.

Elders will count as well, but like I said in the other thread, if you've already finished the game, the three "larger neuronal energy pool" upgrades you get from evolving that far should be more than enough to unlock it even without them.
