Endgame
I read somewhere that after the last evolutionairy step and beating the game you can keep playing but you cant lock new mutations.
The post was pretty old but is it still true?

Nope, completing the game actually unlocks and auto-applies all mutations for you. All that remains to do, if you want, is keep passing generations to upgrade and lock in the normal neurons.
