I heard that every Time you play the outcome can differ.
Where everything kinda looks similar...
That's amazing, that means we'll get to go through being primitive primates, to where human and chimp lineages diverge through the Orrorin tugenensis and the australopithecines and ♥♥♥♥ habilis all the way to ♥♥♥♥ ergaster.
Can't wait for the game to come out! It's very exciting.
So who cares..............
Only Steam fanboys care , loyal to one shop for no reason, loyal to a shop with the worst business practices record in this industry for the last 20 odd years and the company who literally invented the monopoly of online shops, and invented forcing players onto their platform just to instal a game, ie, Half Life, remember, yea well played Mr fair minded.......
Anyhoo I digress.
Its a game about our evolution and its pretty kwerky !
Give it a shot.
They bribe devs/publishers to monopolize the market. That is the WORST thing, since a competetive market is what promotes healthy consumerism and prices that varies so you can pick and choose where you want to buy your product at the price you prefer amongst the offers.
No, no no no! you automatically monopolize a market if you're the first or the most successful at the startline. When competition comes along, that's when that monopolized control should just wane and balance out so the different firms/shops/other can compete for the consumer interest. Literally bribing a product-provider to only provide to THEIR shop is just WAY bad style, especially from a game dev or publisher who can easily ensure a wide distribution.
Also half life was MADE by valve who owns and run steam. I don't see any Epic Games Developed games just being free and open for purchase on steam (gee I wonder why).
And HOW has Epic helped Developers? the Fortite-bribemoney goes to the Publisher most of the time after all, their features and format is WAY dated and barebones, the limit the devs from having their game be released on a wider market until it's been at least a year and by then most people are not interested AT ALL in paying anywhere near release-price, and the fact they had to wait has also soured the future relations with that dev/publisher.
And in this modern age where you can literally spam a complaint on social medias ALL OVER that ensures anyone, anywhere in the world can potentially read your complaint and thus get a sour feeling for that dev/publisher as well without having had to fall into the moneytrap of having had to buy the product that they'd possibly end up getting burnt by.
Or let's take an example of games on Kickstarter that succeed, promising steam, GOG; etc. release as well and then weeks or maybe a month before finish and release, they jump ship and get an Epic Bribe and break any promises they made originally to the people that was promised something else.
I can continue.
Oh and then the Epic Shill-supporters end up going to the steam forums to ask about game-troubles or bug-questionjs, etc. Literally posting spoilers about a game that won't be released until at minimum a whole year has past since the Exclusive release.
Valve INVENTED all of these tactics mate, and now dont like it when the same tactics are used against them, ooo, ......
Valve forced all of us to install there crappy bloatware advertising shop crap just to play Half Life remember, wake up dude and smell teh crap your shovelling, Steam and Valve are no better and no worse.
Keep an open mind mate.
Your whole posts stinks of bias.
Do you know what a Steam shill actually is mate ?
Its a referal to a Steam PAID member who starts threads to harras shops like Epic, oh, whada ya know ay, keep an open mind mate means treat both, or all online shops the same, like I do, being a steam fanboy like you are means being bias and supporting one but not the other even though both have terrible business practices......
Very open minded of you mate.....
Some studios wont survive without funding, Steam could compete here and offer devs a better deal but CHOOSE not too, thats who you are really supporting.
Epic have saved a few games from extinction, Steam on the other hand would rather watch them fail and do nothing, oh, until there empire is threatened, then we see a price war, which benefits all of us.....whatever dude, just keep an open mind and it benefits you, not Steam or Epic.
What funding? the Publishers take most if not the whole EGS bribe.
And since WHEN have devs not been able to survive??? isn't what what a publisher is for? Or maybe they shouldn't try and create something that'd cost them millions to create if they are a small-type devteam.
My problem is that EGS is bribing their way into a false, inflated activity-level. I wouldn't give a crap if the exclusivity was for like a month at most, but the issue is they ban the devs from
expanding their market and platforms to release on.
How about they do crowdfunding then? or ensure a deal where they can get the support needed without letting EGS corner the market through bribes? and yes it's bribes. they pay the devs (or maybe the publishers) into doing something EGS specifically wants. That is what constitutes a bribe... MATE.
It's not me talking like some television preacher that asks for your money, MATE!
What games have epic saved?
Also, why are you attacking me? I am pointing out flaws in your arguements and posting the issues there is with EGS... .yet you tell me to 'wake up', 'stop being biased', 'not being openminded', 'that what i post stick of bias', etc.
Which exposes your lack of scientific investigation into the matter with an unbias agenda.
I looked at this from not the position of Epic, but the position of a consumer, period.
From that position, none of these online companies have great moral practices, from GoG to Origin to Steam to Epic, they are literally all the same and so similar sneaky things to get an edge over there competitors.
When you get a science degree, you will find it hard to get if your bias and have agendas, especially if its particle physics, that same moral or personal standard should be applied to everything you do in life.
The ONLY argument I find that is valid for the use of Steam or any other shop over Epic is this one below.
The Patriot argument.
Those that would rather support the US economy should buy from the US giant Steam/Valve.
Those that dont care where there money goes should buy from ANY shop.
So here is where I get a bit meh with Epic, I have an Epic account to get free games, I bought Satisfactory to get access to the Epic shop and free-bees, I prefer to purchase on Steam and support US system because I dont like financing anything that benefits a communist government.
In all the Epic BS arguments online, no one has ever asked me the reasons why I bought from Epic, but a lot of people, people like you, like to assume they know best for everyone when they say stay loyal to one shop only or Steam over Epic. Its an utterly stupid position to have with anyone.
Even if you support Steam, buying ONE game on Epic allows you to EXPLOIT there Epic system for free games, Ive said that so many times in a polite way its not even funny but almost all of you never get the message, because your to focused on attacking anyone who ''appears'' to defending or representing Epic, when in actual fact thats not the truth at all.
If Epic give away thousands of games, and you just add them to Steam and run them through Steam as normal, YOU have gained something for nothing at the expense of the Communist economy, hello......
The world is in the midst of a trade war with China also, which means it not going to get cheaper for Epic, you really should look at all of this from a neutral position.
So again, I ask you to open your mind, and consider for one minute the value of having an Epic account and not being bias towards one shop or another.
Its a common practice in science to keep an open mind, its also, not hard to do.
Guess who was making systems and storefronts before steam? Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo. You can thank them.
Now, go ahead and cite your sources that valve "bought out games". Last I checked, valve has published all of their "exclusives" and developed them with in-house studios.
How exactly is GOG sneaky? They provide DRM free licenses. Are you really *that* ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stupid?
Give it up buddy. Epic threw a large sum of cash at these publisher's door steps, they took it and signed an exclusivity deal. Nothing more, nothing less. They don't have to worry about making quotas, all the cash they get in sales is just an extra. The devs get a flat sum despite the sales numbers. It's a win/win, and it's scummy capitalism as its best. Nothing but greed here.
Finally a fellow human being that doesn't go 'praise the lord Tim Swiney!'.
Hell I agree with the fact that steam should be less percentage-focused with how much goes to devs and how much goes to steam itself. there SHOULD be some room for negotiation and such.... but still, that's nothing like EGS bribes and such horrid kinds of market cornering and manipulation.
Also no I will not. I have a right to voice out my opinion about this. also, how about you go to EGS instead of being here on steam? this game isn't released here and won't be for at least a year. Right now this a no-go game for me due to greed.
I wanna voice this out because if no one complains about this, then no one will hear that there's other people that are against EGS exclusives and the fact that they are hanging out on steam and garnering some nice free publicity by having it on the store as a 'will be released at 2020' bullcrap that all the EGS bribe-takers seem to enjoy so much.
Hence I will not allow them to use the forums or the EGS shills to use the forums to ask game-related questions or chat about plot-things or ask about resolution issues, etc. I'll tell those people to go to more appropriate forums. And I have the right to do so. I am not harassing anyone, I am merely gonna ask them to be so kind as to go somewhere else with their questions that at best is dumb to ask on gamestore forum for a game that isn't released there, and at worst they might spoil something about the game in a discussion that would ruin the moment for people that'd rather wait until a steam release before playing it.
why does it matter where you buy a game from just enjoy the games
