Yes you can play with a PS4 controller on your PC. You can use DS4Windows :)

I'm using a PS4 pad on PC, and I found it works immediately without DS4Windows or other in-between software; using DS4Windows actually prevented the game from taking the input properly; but either way it always shows Xbox button prompts in-game.

I don't think there's a demo out, the game's only available on Epic's store, as usual. :[

I love the game but it's very slow-paced and weird, so not for everyone. It mostly reminds me of Rain World.

Yes, it does work with a PS4 controller, but all the button prompts are for the Xbox controller. When it says press Y, you need to press the triangle, When it says press X, you have to press the square, A = PS4 X button, and B = PS4 0 button.
There's no option in the controls to show PS4 prompts. (only controller or KB/M)
I played for a long time on Xbox before getting into PS4 so it's not really a problem for me.

This could be since my controller shows up in windows as a generic controller or simply the way the game is written. (my Xbox controller also shows up in windows as a generic controller)

The game is playable with a PS4 controller though and all the functions seem to be available.

I guess if it really bothered you and you had an old XB360 controller, you could take the button caps off and put them in your PS4 controller.
