What to do with precious stones?

I have found about 20 of these stones but do they have a use end game?

Finding all of them completes a list of evolutionary feats, but that's about it. You can discover new actions if you craft or fight with them, but the game doesn't track those discoveries, so there's no reward for running around and hitting everything that moves with a tourmaline or ruby. All they give you is gained when you find and inspect them.

If you can arrange the rubies just right in a sunny location you should be able to make a primitive laser. :^)
It may take a while, but just keep at it. You've got millions of years to get it right.

Apparently they enhance your religiousity. I have no idea if they provide any advantage by keeping them around the settlement.

With them you can (I think) evolve your neuronals action faster, just kick animals with it and your neuronal will be ready in no time. Same goes with the craft. Remember if it says "defend" you wont be able to kill the animal with it.
