Does Clementine Change?

Telltale said Clementine's personality should change quite vastly based on your choices in the first two games but I feel like she just ended up being grizzled and untrusting even though that's not really what I had been shaping her into throughout the other games. What was your Clementine like?

I've watched a couple playthroughs on youtube now, in addition to playing it myself. I haven't noticed any real changes/differences to Clem, aside from the flashback scenes.

Mt Clem is grizzled and untrusting too, even when like you, that isn't how I had been shaping her in previous games.

She was actually part of the New Frontier, so her time with that group could have forced her to give up on most of her humanity.

We're just gonna wait for new issues/episodes to find out.

problem is , my clem would of left the new frontier once she new how they really were. the fact she joins them at all is down right bullcrap.

I agree that this season is total ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥ and that they're ruining Clementine, but her reasons for joining could have been absolute starvation of her and AJ, maybe she joined for food and shelter.

Clementine states why she joined ,it made me angry as well when i saw the brand on her arm,but desperate times call for desperate measures, it's not as simple as good people and bad people ,remember what the cop in season one says about when people think their life is over.
the doctor all so hints at Clementine's state of mind ,we are meant to feel horrible about where Clementine is right now. All the work we did in season two seams to be slipping away, thats why it matters to us ,give her time to come back.

We have the whole rest of the season to go! If you were expecting to see 42 different scenes that specifically address the type of Clementine that you have then you are correct that we didn't do that. We have shown the beginnings of that, but there are many other choices that will come into play. Some not even directly. For example, we won't specifically call out if Clem specifically watched Carver die, but that experience will 100% effect how Clem reacts to situations over the course of the series. But don't expect Clem to have a monolog about "once there was a man named Carver who....". Sorry to have disappointed you but if you hang in there I think you'll find your Clem is there.

The thing is I don't trust these writers, after what they've shown me with the flashbacks. It just feels like straight up fanfiction.

Lol, so in essence Telltale just told us "Your Clementine's attitude depends on how you raised her in previous seasons, but since off-season she did something you had no control over, that event renders everything we just said meaningless".
