Is this season 3 or is this a "reboot"

I loved my time going trough the first 2 seasons of telltale's TWD but I never found the game play to be the factor that pulled me in but rather the cast and the story.

Does anybody know if this is going to be the continuation of the story that I went trough or is it going to reboot the series.


I see from the trailer that its going to feature Clem but I did not see any other familiar faces there.

If you cared to do a bit of research, for example check Telltale's website or Twitter, you would see articles/posts about it simply being Season 3.

Ok I'm not saying I didn't know, I'm just saying that it's not called season 3. It's called A New Frontier on both the store page and in my game library.

To answer alot of the points made in this thread.

It has been almost 3 years since we played and experienced the story that was TT's TWD season 2.

Altough the vocal majority in this thread seems to have been stalking Tell tale's twitter and other social media for that time, I can quarantee to you that the vast majority of those who played through season 2 have not.

In these 3 years, the emotional bond that I once made to these characters and specifically Clementine has been long forgotten.

So what I will take away from this thread is that the new frontier will basically be a reboot of the series but it does bring Clementine from the past entries in to this game as a connection between the games.

So I my self will be passing this one as it has been to long since I played season 2.
