Gonna call Season 3 for what it is.
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Season 3 is pure ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. No one with half a working brain cell can play through it and say "Yeah, that was a good game". Trash written by starving freelance writers who have never produced a single piece of quality content in their 10+ year long careers, some of their best work don't even make it past a 60 on metacritic. Moving their best talent to work on other games while leaving the hacks with no talent to work on this game, that's how much Telltale cares about TWD, Clementine and all the fans that put them where they are now.

Apart from the Clementine in-game model, there's absolutely nothing about this game that could be considered quality. There's only about 3 base models which are then copypasted to make the other characters, Clementine's model was copypasted to make Marianna, David's to make Kenny, etc. The music is mostly reused from season 2, the animations are reused from Batman.

The story is the stupidest most dull and unimaginative piece of fiction I've had the misfortune of laying my eyes on. Javier starts a war between communities because he stole some pudding, let that one sink in. Tripp and Eleanor slobber all over Javier's ♥♥♥♥ and call him the boss even though he just caused their home's demise after stealing some pudding, that's some quality ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ writing right there, nice job Telltale!, Master Storytellers!.

Clementine is ruined and possibly left un-salvageable too. What kind of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ idiot skips 2-3 years of the most important character defining moments in a series like TWD? a series that is ALL about character development?. Clementine will go down as the worst handling of a video game character ever.

This game is the proof that Telltale was never good at making games to begin with, Season 1's success was out of sheer luck and the money it made allowed them to stay afloat for this long. Deep inside they're still an indie company with the skills of an indie company and operating like one, simply getting millions of dollars and hiring 300 new employees doesn't change the fact that they're still a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ indie company. Like most idiots who win the lottery, they're finally starting to crash and burn.

As of now, I wish them nothing but the worst for all the lies, misleading, betrayals and insults.

Season 3 is an insult to all fans and to Clementine and Lee. To whoever reads this, if you buy Guardians of the Galaxy and any of their future games, you're part of the problem for continuing to support this sweatshop of a game company.

0 out of 10. Telltale pretty much committed financial suicide with this game.

Telltale must be so lucky that they manage to made two good games in this series. since they have no clue how to make good games.

Btw most ppl like the game.
This post is a prime example as to why you should wait till you've calmed down before you 'attempt' a review. Am I the only one who read about the first two sentances and then just skipped to the bottom (which was obviously predictable), knowing it would be a total waste of time?

Spot on! Tell Tale are hacks and always have been. And their next game has even less appeal. Seriously Guardians of the Galaxy???

"bawwww my feelings were hurt so I skipped the post"
While I'm no fan of Telltale at this point, this review is best described as:

"Someone had harsh browns for breakfast".

I agree with 99% of what you've written, except for one thing - I don't wish them the worst. Sure, they screwed up big time and I am angry at them and won't be paying for any of their future releases, but maybe this blow will finally wake them up and hire a better writing team for example. Although I'm done with Telltale, I will always enjoy good interactive stories, so hopefully more companies will start making them so I'll have more to choose from.

Forgot to mention - I guess it might be that I am too hard to please or just getting too old for gaming, but I hated the QTE in S3. Meaninglessly beating the ♥♥♥♥ out of a random key on my keyboard is definitely not my definition of immersion. In S1 and S2 I put up with it for the sake of a good story, but here in S3 ep1/2 it just felt like a numb 'monkeyseemonkeydo' boring chore.

They won't. Have you read the Glassdoor reviews?

You might need to log in in order to fully read them.

Wow Tell Tale looks like an absolutely terrible place to work. Unpaid overtime? No thanks.
