So about Gabe... (Spoilers)

So I killed Conrad in episode 2, because he had a gun to Gabe. Nobody threatens my familiy.

HOWEVER, for some reason he felt the need to shout out, that I killed Conrad, in front of the others, making them hate me and wanting me dead.

I killed him because I WAS PROTECTING YOU, YOU LITTLE ♥♥♥♥. And the game continues like I should still care for him. It kinda amazing that the game went from me caring about Gabe, to wanting that little ♥♥♥♥♥♥ dead.

Why defend someone that was trying to kill you? Maybe I won't save you next time...

I mean... GOD.

You are only enforcing my point that kids are kids. The difference between Gabe and Clementine is Gabe was fortunate enough to have family with him the whole time. Clem was in her own a lot, so Gabe's need for growing up, though necessary, wasn't as fervent on him as Clementine.

I am not making excuses for Gabe's mistakes, and kids do need to be put in their place when they do something wrong. I just kind of chuckle at everyone saying "Gabe is a whiny, no-good bratty kid who doesn't do what he's told" Yeah, that pretty much describes a kid. Why is Clementine different? Well, actually for starters, girls tend to mature sooner than boys both physically and mentally. In my Sunday school class, the girls are much more willing to pay attention while I have to constantly, constantly get on the boys for being distractions and unable to maintain an attention span longer than a minute. But in another sense, Gabe had things going pretty smoothly until now. His coddled life in the apocalypse is now getting rocked and so he is having to deal with it. I don't consider this a "someone just kill the kid" as much as a "he needs to grow up and since I'm the best parental figure he's got, I'll have to do it".

Yeah the problem with that is that he doesn't give a ♥♥♥♥. You get stabbed through his mistake? He doesn't give a ♥♥♥♥. He doesn't stay with Kate during her surgery: well that just means he needs to have more power from now on (his words not mine), every adult in the room tells him to shut the ♥♥♥♥ up and do as he's told and you are in a life threatening situation because you try to steal something from the group that wants to kill you in their own place? Nah that's cool, can stll argue that I don't want to do what I'm being told because I don't want to be treated like a kid no more... well then grow the ♥♥♥♥ up. I set him an example and he constantly ♥♥♥♥♥ all over it. It's like at the Gate... his dad is back so ♥♥♥♥ his uncle and the guys who got him here. His uncle finally shows up in the hospitable: It's no: god I'm so glad you are okay and how are the others? Nah it's look I got food... so ♥♥♥♥ you. Yes that kid needs to get shot so I can set off with my new family of Clem, Javi and Kate.

nope. I said that conrad lost it and had to leave him behind.. gabe didnt say anything.
