He sticks with you and (spoiler) later on you can choose to keep the gun or give it to conrad, if you give the gun to conrad, he'll live (FINALLY A DESCISION) while if you keep it he becomes zombie chow. He also regrets what he did in Episode 2

What happens at the house before you leave to save David at the gallows?

With my game, Gabe had a fit and outed me for killing him. I then had to leave because obviously Tripp was royally pissed with me. Does Eleanor and Tripp still stay back at the house? Is Conrad still with them?

In my playthrough, after everything goes to hell, you run into Conrad after that other guy throws the smoke grenade at you. He says something along the lines of not being able to leave, feeling like he should turn back.
And then the scene with Kate and the car/truck happened straight after.

Also, there's a great scene with him in Episode 3, when you go to kill Badger.
If you offer Conrad to kill him instead, Badger says Francine was nothing after Conrad killed her like she was nothing and and Badger makes some remark about willing to kill another man. Then Conrad shuts him up with, "You're not a man, you're nothing" before shooting him.

In my playthrough, conrad regret for what he did to clementine and asked for forgiveness.
In episode 3 , you can choose whether to give him the gun. If you do give him, he lives and stick with teh team and if you dont, he dies.
In episode 4, he left the group for a while because he want to rethink what kind of person he is and he doesn't want to get involve in the war of New Frontier. At the end of the episode, he comes back to help you. There is a scene that a truck is out of control running to you. If you do the QTE slowly, Conrad dies. If you do it quickly, he lives.
I manage to keep him alive for 3 episode and in my playthrough, he will be in the episode 5.
So there are 3 ways that conrad can die and you can avoid it.

What happens? Conrad comes around and becomes a likable guy. I'd say as much if not more than Tripp. Tripp's cool but he's quite a drama queen for a guy his size.
