Same issue, have you managed to find a fix? I have all the requirements but not sure on the graphics... I play The Sims 4 and would imagine the graphics wouldn't be any different from that...

no fix as of yet, I have logged the issue with SEGA on their website, but I wouldnt imagine they would get back very quickly! I had verified the integrity of the game files, have unistalled etc but still no luck.

Hi there,

Sorry to hear you're having issues launching the game! What are the specifications of your Macs?

You can check this in steam by clicking 'Help' on the top bar, and then 'System Information'

Thanks,
Jo

Hi all,

Sorry you're having issues still! Could you take a look in your output_log and let me know what it says (if anything)

You can find that here; /Users/[Username]/Library/Application Support/com.twopointstudios.twopointhospital/

It is a .txt called output_log

Thanks,
Jo

I'm also having an issue on launch with a blank, black screen on my Macbook Pro. The game music plays, it responds when I click, and also responds to command+q to quit. Searched for an output_log file and couldn't find anything with that name. Found "tph-log-2018-09-01_19.48.35.txt" under logs in the root folder.

Thanks for helping!

Also my specs:
OS: Sierra v10.12.6
CPU: 2.6 GHz Intel Core i7
RAM: 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M 2048 MB
Intel Iris Pro 1536 MB

There is a fix for it now. Click on the Apple icon in the top left and go to about this mac. once loaded click the button that says "software update". you need to make sure your mac is updated to the latest version of *High Sierra". It will give you the option to upgrade to it for free if you havent already. Update takes about 30-60mins. Once finished and installed, go back to the game, verify the integrity of the game files, and then run. Should work =)

As The Seductive Onion says, if you're able to update to High Sierra this may fix the black screen on start :)

Thanks,
Jo

I'm on High Sierra already, and up to date - but after the last patch I get a blank screen and then the app crashes.

CPU 3.1 ghz I7
16GB Ram
Radeon Pro 560 GFX.

I've tried to verify integrity. I've reinstalled the app too.

No logfile is being generated at all in the directory mentioned above.

If you could head over to our support site and Submit a Ticket we will investigate for you as soon as possible; https://support.sega.co.uk/hc/en-us/requests/new

Make sure to attach your crash dump so we have everything that we need. You can find them here;

Crash Dumps:/Users/[Username]/Library/Application Support/com.twopointstudios.twopointhospital/Crash Reports

If you could also include some system information (in steam, click on 'help' on the top toolbar, then 'System information' and paste this info.

also ention that there isn't an output_log.

Thanks,
Jo

Oddly enough Jo, clearing the cache twice and rebooting my Mac fixed it for me this morning. Clearing once, or rebooting without clearing did not help. I'm up and running now though, thanks!

Ah cool, that's great (and strange!)

I hope you enjoy the game :D
