If there are often queues at the Ward or Psy rooms, I just disable diagnosis for them though. I like X-ray early and switch to Mega Scan instead later. In some cases I might use Mega Scan early because it's more profitable but money is rarely an issue...
Otherwise, I tend to be flexible and if for example I cannot fit 2 DNA Labs in the diagnosis building, I might use 2 Fluid Analysis or 2 Psy rooms instead to save space. The only diagnosis rooms I rarely use are Cardiology and General Diagnosis.
Hmm...good point.
My only problem with DNA is that there is no way to disallow genetics doctors with diagnostic (not treatment) skills from treating patients and killing them lol
i usually try and get doctors trained in genetics, diagnosis 2 and treatment 2. since knowing more about the better combinations and what skills compliment each other, i now only hire staff with no slots filled or just one slot that i need ( say, the genetics or radiology ) i wont hire a doctor that has both or general practice mixed in etc. i prefer separating the doctors into particular jobs. same with psychiatry, i tend to just get them to world class ( 5 slots in psychiatry )
Same with nurses, ill have them only with full ward stats ( solely for the ward and fracture ward ) or treatment stats ( solely for treatment rooms) and deselect them accordingly, i wont have them mix rooms
each illness requires a specific diagnostics room for the biggest percentage, so sending someone to the mega scanner or x ray might give out a lower diag than one of the small rooms depending on what the illness is. ill
True, I noticed that yesterday when I reallowed the ward to diagnose patients, queues went away.
Thanks for the tip.
Physiotherapy?
Hydrotherapy?
Hypnoses room, (would make a good treatment room too)
1. From time to time there is a visitor who leaves with complaints about the lack of diagnostic.
2. From time to time, one diagnostic room becomes super popular. Last month it’s X-ray, this month it’s DNA, next month it might be primitive GD.
This is somewhat strange logic for me.
i have a sandbox game with 11 GP rooms, 4 x-ray rooms, 4 mega scans, 2 DNA rooms and 4 psychiatry rooms. ive no diagnostic rooms that are used by nurses ( except for wards) and i still get 10+ queues for them, if i put down a cardiology the queue for it can get to 15+
only the GP ones seem to stay at 10+, the others go up and down. i still dont know how to manage queues ( if it actually can be done? ) i wish there was something you can do instead of 'building more rooms' which i think is annoying because ive no more space!! lol, maybe more options like wait times ( if a certain time waiting has been met, automatically send patient home etc)
from what i recall you have to have GP rooms?? you cant replace them with say mega scan or x ray?? patients just wait for a gp room?? id have to test it myself to be sure, or if someone has already tried??
