Trainig staff to level 3

Basically I'm doing the hospital which requires you to train 3 people to level 3 in research, I currently have TEN doctors trained in level 2 research but it won't let me train them to level 3 research despite over 5 of them having 3 spare training slots. What am I supposed to do about this?

To get them to level 3 research, you have to UNLOCK level 3 research, which is actually unlocked via researching it. should be at the bottom of the list.

Should have mentioned I've already done that, I trained one to level 3 and haven't had the option since

Can you post screenshots of your doctors and of your research list?

I wonder about the training as I have had it before where there has been no training relevent to doctors but the following month there is ????

Is what training is available random?

It's actually just came up for me after about 20 minutes of waiting, I don't know if it's just random or if there is something that prevents/triggers it

Nope, it should shows all training avaliable to your staff. So if you don't have anyone can be trained with say research V, then it won't show up even if you have researched it.

Your staff needs to have a extra slot to be allowed to train. You have to promote them to get it.
Then you hire someone to train that staff member to research 3.

If you move a mouse to stars you will see how much Xp to next lvl.

Exactly what I was looking for, didn't realise they had to level up first before they could get more training, I just thought once they received training they would be able to move onto the next one. Thanks!

What I am saying is its shows NO training for any doctor, just for janitors and nurses even though their are doctors with free slots etc. The following month it showed lots of courses for doctors even though the amount of doctors hadn't increased and no one had been promoted. Is that a bug?
