Patients who refuse to pay
So... are we just allowing them to leave? Can we not arrest them for theft or at least sue them?

Yeah, I am hoping for an assasination option, so you can scare the other patients into paying

I think this feature is poorly executed. If customers consider the prices too high, they shouldn't take the treatment. It makes no sense for them to take the treatment and then refusing to pay. I don't think that's how real life works.

We dont even make them leave. Patients are free to refuse payment on diagnosis, vending machines, whatever they want. Just look the other way and let them carry on through the hospital.

Agreed with Purno, if it's too high before they start doing what they're doing, then they shouldn't do it.

Now if you change your price while they are getting the service, I'd understand, but even then, they should pay what it was before it changed.

I like upping my prices when an emergency comes in since that's patients that go straight to specialist.

There should be some lawyer room to handle these patients who refuse to pay or claims when patients try to sue the hospital.

Or maybe allow them the option to pay a reduced amount.

Maybe they could implement some sort of system that allowed patients to pay for medical services through taxes. This could in turn secure a steady and predictable income for our hospitals and on the other hand secure basic rights and privileges for the patients. Instead of measuring the success of our hospitals through profits we could measure success through the general wellbeing of the county's population. I think that could be a fun system.

I have no issue with the "refused to pay" so much, but what I would like is to see who the person was.

Are they being seen and refusing to pay? Are they seeing the prices and refusing to be seen? It wouldn't be so bad if it was in the log. But it's like it's just a random message and doesn't related to any one at all. Then again, message guy is useless. Gives a lot of false info when it comes to finances.

But yes, if it's actually happening I want their name, and an option to refuse treatement until they pay or they can leave.

This.

What about security guards who you can hire and if they catch someone not paying will reimburse you with 50% of the price? That way they still don't pay full so you know it's too pricey but you have the opportunity to make something out of it. Then there's the risk/reward of actually generating money to pay the wages of the guards and still turn a profit on their findings.

lol, unless you're in the building trade, clients wont pay til the job is finished and then there's nothing to stop from from refusing to pay or not pay the agreed quote.. so yeah it DOES happen in real life. well in the uk anyway as i've been a victim of it.

At least for the US, there's courts and such there's the option to sue or other legal action or other consequences.

As I understand it, in the USA, they often don't tell you about the price of a procedure until after it's done.

Security guards would be a good added feature for lots of other stuff, to stop vandalism and break ins.
