[Flemington]Unable to make the ends meet
I have played on this hospital for about 5 hours and restarted it about 4 times, and i always end up with the same result, nagative bank. i have taken out loans, i have not taken out loans, but no matter how i play, i can never seem to get even 1 star before i go into dept.

Is anyone else having the same problem or am i just a complete moron?

FYI: i have 3 stars on every hospital up to this one

Can you remind me what the hospital is ? I don't remember the name related to each mission. I remember I finished this level but the name in particular doesn't remind me which mission it was .

It's the 6th hospital, right above the wind turbines, where the wealthy people live

Thanks but what are the objectives and what are your problems ? Because my Flemington is already over so I can't know what were the objectives for that level.

If you haven't researched animal magnetism and injection room yet I would recommend going in a previous level where you had good research to research both. That can highly help.

Otherwise there's no real specific strategy to this level it's a very straightforward one. Marketing campaigns can help a bit to get the type of patient you want or type of staff you need to recruit but it can be a double edge sword when you do it for illness as you will get a LOT of that type of patient.

My problem was relying on diagnosis too much. Treatment is the way to go. Even if it fails or you kill the patient in the process you still get that cash, so try to focus on treatment. Also, buy the plot that is diagonally northeast to you. Get a reception plus GP offices + diagnosis rooms + toilets + staff rooms in both. These two buildings are the entrance points for patients and you can prevent long distances for patients by occupying both these chokepoints. Build treatment rooms in a seperate building. Maybe focus on three treatment methods at first (Pan's Lab, Pharmacy, Psychiatry or Chromatherapy).

Get Marketing up as well. Later in the game you'll need to focus on animal magnetism. With marketing you can get a whole load or patients afflicted with that disease into your hospital and it pays very well. This is how I got my hospital value up to 5 mil.

The only problem i'm having this map so far is getting the value of the hospital above 1mill, the closest i got was about 500k, then it all went down hill from there, and since then i can't seem to get it above 200k before it tanks.

But i guess i'll just have to keep trying.

Thank you, guys.

Having a profitable hospital is worth more than fancy stuff in it; keep the prestige and decor level very low, this will reduce the overall patient demand and let you actually cycle them through diagnostics and treatments which will get you your profit. Also, charging less for treatments may get you more money as I've found that +10% price leads to more than 10% non-payment, and all that time invested in the patient has just been lost.

You also don't need to finish an ad campaign, just launch it. If you;re struggling with the patient load cancel it as soon as you pay for it. Otherwise, run the ads for fracture wards.

Regular expansion, hiring, training, all that is fine and shouldn't cause an issue. It gives a bit of hospital worth, but keep the place drab and ugly until you need to hit that last 5mil mark, then rocket up the prestige in all your rooms.

I only had trouble getting value to 5mil. Never really gotten into debt at all on any maps. What is your build order exactly? Are you building things before you need them? Hiring too many good staff?

I feel for you. I had to restart that hospital once myself. I did get past the bankruptcy bump I had by taking the first two loans back to back and building a ward and another clinic that seemed to have the most need. Before I did that it was touch and go for a while swinging from red to black every month.

Actually, hiring "too good" staff isn't necessarily a drawback. Especially early on when you can't afford training. Now THAT'S the biggest robber baron of the game right there! I'm thinking OP just ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up by expanding to new buildings too quickly and wasting too much cash on unnecessary training/extras.

I am on this one right now.
For some reason though, the options to train other doctors in anything aren't showing up in the training room. I have no one who can research anything, and can't train anyone in it.

Try kicking everyone out, fire everyone, sell everything.
Then wait a little.
After this start re-building everything (as you have more money to spend) and hire best doctors for best rooms.
Also plan right.

I've had this happen several times myself where I get into spiraling debt. The worst thing you can possibly do here is ramp prices up as patients will refuse to pay for services and you really need the money. Remove everything that decorates your hospital and run with basic facilities required for each room. Yes your staff will get grumpy, if they talk of resigning then throw them into the staff room with at least 1 plant pot to brighten things up and let them relax for a while. Make sure your staff doing the diagnosis have adequate skills to get patients through the first couple of attempts, the longer they are in the hospital the longer the queues get and if you have like 30+ patients waiting they'll be leaving angrily for having waited too long for treatment. You need these patients to make you money so if necessary sell rooms you barely use and build more diagnosis rooms like GP offices and whichever diagnosis rooms have a queue of patients waiting for them. With luck the money will start flowing again and you can eventually start adding decorative items again so your staff aren't unhappy about the way things look.

raise prices for treatment and diagnosis. this normally doubles the value very soon.
