BitDefender reporting Ransomware withTwo Points exe file TPH.exe output_log.txt

As the title suggests, my virus software BitDefender is reporting a ransomware warning with two messages - here is the first message

The process C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\TPH\TPH.exe manifests ransomware behavior and was blocked. Several files were encrypted by it and couldn't be automatically restored. You can find the files to be restored below.

and the second message:

Several files were encrypted by ransomware and couldnt be automatically restored, your attention is required. Use the restore location button to select a different restoration path.

Output_log.txt c:\users\OfflineTJJ\AppData\LocalLow\Two Point Studios\Two Point Hospital


Im given the option of clicking 'RESTORE LOCATION'

no idea waht this means or what to do?

For this reason. I used a "method" with Denuvo and, obviously zero problems.

I put my method here,so that anyone could use it, but Denuvo's dogs are on the lookout and it seems that Steam (Valve) allows it.

The method is no mystery, knowing that the problem is Denuvo, in reddit I found the solution.

It's a false positive. Bitdefender is known for having them sometimes.

Denuvo encrypts some of the game files for copy protection and it's confusing that with the way ransomware locks your system.

Denuvo is not malware - that is a completely false and inaccurate claim, with no proof. Either cite a reputable source, or keep your tin foil hat conspiracy theories to your Reddit echo chamber.

If you are a millenial snowflake who believes all the tin foil hat conspiracy theories on Reddit, then be worried.

However, if you are a reasonable adult who is able to research the issue and read and comprehend credible sources of information, then no, there is nothing to worry about.

You will find numerous millenial snowflake false-outrage over-reaction trolls in this forum who are making completely false and inaccurate claims that Denuvo is malware, or spyware, or ransomware - and not a one of them can cite a credible source to back up those claims.

That was a foolish comment. Bit Defender sits equally with 2 other products as pretty much the best AV there is. The differences coming down to preference, loyalty and price vs unecessary features.
