I know this isn't exactly an original post, but I'm of the mindset that more people posting about a topic will maybe sway the develoeprs to reconsider their position on it.


Simply put, I'd like to see a sandbox.

Really simple. The major difference between sandbox and everything else, is you can build the hospital itself on a plot. Not just fill in a pre-built hospital.

On top of that, you can tweek a bunch of sliders.

Illness Difficulty
Staff Talent
Staff Availability
Training Time
Research Time
Market Values for Treatments
Market Values for Hires
Climate
Prevelence of certain illnesses (maybe by illness)

Just off the top of my head. A sandbox offers the player the ability to customize their challenge in a very specific way.

Maybe I want to play a theme that's challenging, like specifically a psych hospital with exclusively psych patients but I have an extremely inexperienced staff.

Or maybe I want to play a hospital in a city, where there's constant emergencies.

Or maybe I want to play in a hospital with tons of VIPs and very severe impact on reputation for even the smallest error, but the market is very competitive so money is hard to come by...

Just a thought... a sandbox mode would be nice.

The lack of a sandbox mode was the only flaw in Theme Hospital. I consider sandbox a huge improvement for replayability. So I agree.

yup. yes you can continue the hospital after you made 3 stars, or even make a brand new one but it will allways be whitin the set rules of the cenario.

you cant make a hospital whit your own rules, background, your own choise of what rooms you can create, crowd limitation and that is what this game is missing.
i want to make a small 15x15 hospital on the village that cures everyday issues and are not drowning in patients forcing me to make 5+ GP offices.

add free mode and the game rev scores will be max of max.

The devs did say that modding and workshop would be added a few weeks after release so I suspect we'll likely get a scenario editor soon enough.

I'd also like to throw in my opinion for a Sandbox Mode. one of the best parts of games like this is the option for a random map/scenario generator or sandbox mode for sure. Always felt it added a ton of replayability to these types of games.

No Sandbox no purchase. So easy. In October Project Hospital comes out. After that I am not interested in this anymore. So they better hurry up

If I had known there wasn't a TRUE sandbox - like, one where I don't just have to replay the last level over and over again - I wouldn't have bought :( I want to make my own hospital with my own objectives and my own layout. The game is just too easy as is and I don't like how they put the hospitals together.

Yes please Sandbox mode needed as i would like to play the game as i want and not follow any set needs.
