reception room vs reception desk

Anyone know the difference? Other than the room is more expensive? Seem to do the same job.

the reception room might handle more people than just a single desk. im not sure. depends if you want a centralized reception or scattered over multiple floors.

Yeah I'm curious about this too. So far I find it better to keep using the small desk.

The room will become more important at super busy levels where you can stick several employees all in a box to handle the masses. Plus, I think it just looks nicer than several desks tossed near each other.

Reception room has the benefits of a room as far as I can tell - it has a prestige value you can raise and you can stick a chair and coffee maker in there as well as being able to make multiple work stations. I haven't got far enough to fully investigate exactly how caffeine buzz and happiness affect job performance.

I reached level 6 and I can tell you, at hospital level 20, you will need THREE receptionist pods in a reception room to handle the incoming patients. It looks way nicer than just a desk though, that's for sure!

You can also add features to the room version, like a radio and the like, but the main thing is being able to have multiple receptionists/queues.

You can have multiple receptionists with multiple queues by having multiple reception desks as well.

It takes less space to hold more receptionists AND you can add benefits like warmth/cold and attractiveness to the same space. That seems to me to be the biggest benefit. In a 4x3 room I can fit 4 to 5 receptionists and get a pretty big buff by placing plants ontop of de desks too. Only use it when I have a lot of space tho.
