Hospital Design
This looks like it is going to be awesome in terms of the humour and the graphical art direction. I do wonder if there will be enough to improve the construction of the hospital though.

It still seems to be set to basic grid shape, my questions are;

- Would it be possible to have diagonal shapes?
- What about floors, is it still one level? Could we have floors/levels and have lifts and staircases to increase design, footprint, management & layout differences.
- What about adding place for ambulance parking, helicopter landing zones to suit our design rather than automatic
- Are we going to be able to colour the walls/floors to give aesthetic options?
- more options for plants rather than the same single option
- How about services in terms of providing power, water, gas accordingly and having maintenance done that way also

I am sure there is more but those are general thoughts I always had about how to improve the game accordingly. It gives greater design options and more management options to make sure your hospital is working as it should.

From the images it looks really close to Theme Hospital, so only one floor and grid based building imo. Looks like theres a gift shop and some new problems instead of rats in terms of the ghosts and mummies?

I hope theres a way build onto the hospital manually instead of a preset expansion building.

Indeed, I am just hoping over time it takes what they had and builds on it. A little more complexity in allowing greater variation I just feel would add to the environment.

Buying parcels of land and allow different expansion directions but allowing us to construct custom shaped wings of the hospital and thus custom footprint would be more interesting than the original pre-determined buildings as you noted.

Watching the latest videos so far has some great little parts but there really doesn't seem to be much more of a step forward compared to the older game. It feels and looks pretty generic still in terms that although they state they want to make it feel unique but they don't really move the mold at the moment from what I can see.

Im really hoping they add the ability to build your own hospitals and have multiple floors. Im hoping for a far more simulation aspects.

Yeah, an elevator and stairs bottleneck would add a nice design challenge, especially with differently shaped floors at each level (like an aztec pyramid hospitall!)

Oo loving these questions. Here are my thoughts on it.

- Would it be possible to have diagonal shapes?

We have seen gameplay now so we know this isn't possible. I like this idea but I don't feel we 'need' it.

- What about floors, is it still one level? Could we have floors/levels and have lifts and staircases to increase design, footprint, management & layout differences.

They have confirmed one floor but they also played with having multiple floors and found it really distracted from the gameplay and made the general running of the hospital pretty complex. Which I agree with, I mean imagine Theme Hospital on multiple floors? I would hate it! One was more than enough to keep me working hard. I strongly believe that multiple floors would ruin this game and I was very relieved to hear they felt the same.

- What about adding place for ambulance parking, helicopter landing zones to suit our design rather than automatic

Love this idea. I have seen transport routes outside the hospital, like a subway entrance for example. I KNOW they have a helicoper, I cover that in my 'PeepingAtTwoPointHospital series. Which surely means that a helicopter pad would be an upgrade maybe? How great would it be to have ambulances racing to the entrence as well? Love this! I might raise it in a future Peeping At and credit you if that is okay?

- Are we going to be able to colour the walls/floors to give aesthetic options?

No idea and watching gameplay it didn't look like it. BUT, it has been said that modding will be available shortly after launch so maybe floors and wallpapers would be something that community could do OR Two Point might believe that doing this would make it too 'Sims'. So if not, I wouldn't be surprised. Anyway I love the lightbulbs all over the Bulbous clinic. ^^

- more options for plants rather than the same single option
They do have multiple plants. :steamhappy:

- How about services in terms of providing power, water, gas accordingly and having maintenance done that way also
I've been thinking about this and I'm not sure how much benefit the 'gameplay' would receive from this feature. That being said, the radiators and heat radius are still a thing so no doubt the boiler breaking will be and I have Peeped an electrics room in one of the promotion images. I haven't covered this on a Peeping At yet, but that facility does seem to exist. So if that one does...

The new video shows custom room shapes which is cool, so im guessing theres no min size requirement and you can fit rooms on lile you please.

Would be cool to have car parking and ambulances. Helipad should need to be unlocked or purchased im order to benefit from the reward from them.

There are min room sizes and required items still. There is a car park outside Hogsport hospital! So CONFIRMED! And underground link and a bus stop! I have Peeped all those things at least.

I completely agree the Helicopter and pad, right with you Elastic ^^

I played Theme Hospital when I was younger. I was bad at it, but I enjoyed it just the same. So, this game is made by the same people. Theme Hospital 2. THere would have been tons of Theme X games if EA hadn't done what they do best and crushed Bullfrog into a fine paste for snorting.

This game will be awesome.
