Controller issues, Devs help?
I just acquired the game through the Epic Games Store (it was offered for free) and was excited to play it since some friends of mine play tested the multiplayer and only had good things to say about it.

However, when plugging in my controller (PS4 controller emulating an Xbox 360 controller via DS4 Windows), the game automatically spawns a second player.

If I remove this player through the Multiplayer settings, the controller bindings get scrambled although the controls menu shows the default options.

For Example, Up and Down become unresponsive, Left does nothing and the joysticks go crazy with the slightest touch. If I don't remove the second "ghost" player, the controls are perfectly fine and Player 2 mimics all the inputs of Player 1 except it can't go left for some reason.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

I would assume that the issue lies within DS4 and Rewired. The plugin tries to know which controller you are using to use the proper glyphs and inputs... and seeing two different glyphs made it think it was two separate controllers? Maybe?

PS4 should work natively with Sundered without much of an issue, so I would advise not emulating the X360 if possible. You can also try deleting your SAVE_OPTIONS.sav (and _BACKUP.sav), to reset which default controller is used.

Interesting note, during testing, we noticed that swapping the first player between X360 and PS4 will scrambled the bindings completely, putting the D-pad in a weird state with only two working inputs, B (circle) became X (square) and a slew of other issues... so I guess that is what's going on!

Glad to hear your friends had fun playing Sundered, thanks!
Hope you will get to enjoy the game as well!

Eeeeyup, that was it.

I didn't think the game would have native support for PS4.

Thanks for the quick, accurate and informative reply!

Looking forward to enjoying your game!
