How many buttons on the controller will actually be needed ?
Hey,

I installed this game and tested it on my arcade cabinet, i'm using Steams Xbox 360 config for generic joysticks and remapped the controls. I have 6 main buttons near my joystick but i do have a start, select, RT / LT button on the front of the cabinet so they are not really usable when actually playing except if you got some time to recover like the map one i assigned to one of the front buttons. For the rest i have attack, finisher, dodge, health elixir and jump already mapped to 5 of my 6 main buttons. I played the game a bit and it was doable like this but i wonder about the configuration screen it mentions 2-3 locked assignments which i currently do not have mapped but i wonder if those get unlocked somehow later in the game and that the game might need more than the 5 main buttons i currently use. If they do unlock some extra functionalities i wonder if those functionalities are needed while fighting or if they are like the map one which you don't really need while figthing. I have only one main button left to assign so not sure i can continue playing it on my arcade cabinet with only 6 main buttons easily accessible. i might be able to free up one more button if i move the elixir / health one to one of the front buttons but during a fight i might be too late to press it then. But as i don't know what those locked ones are / mean i'm not sure it will still be playable like this when progressing futher in the game.

Can someone shed some light on those locked entries ? I noticed the keyboard layout has got them assigned so i'm guessing they will serve some purpose eventually but can't find much information about what exactly and if they are criticial to use

I have the Nimbus Steelseries and I'm using all 8 buttons (LT1&2, RT1&2 included). I even had to reconfig my map button to be the tab button on my keyboard cuz I needed the space. You'll need buttons for the cannon, grappling hook, the other charge ability (can't remember the name) and the heal button. That's everything I have configured to my trigger buttons. The main buttons are jump, attack, roll and finisher.
