About the armor stat
So in the loading screen it is mentioned that each point of armor that the player has offers him 2% damage reduction. In that case reaching 50 armor would make you immune to damage. However this is not the case since you can go over 100 armor and endgame enemies and bosses will still noticeably hurt you.
So does each armor point that you have give you a fixed amount of damage reduction smaller than 2%, or does the stat instead have diminishing returns (i.e. your first armor points do offer you 2% damage reduction each but later points give you less and less) ?

Not that I'm complaining about being unable to reach 100% dmg red, being able to do so would obviously be wrong in any game that has any form of combat. However it does annoy me that we're given inaccurate info as a tip.
Changing the current sentence displayed in the loading screen or adding an extra line to it would be a welcome change, even if this isn't that big of an issue.

I posted this in another thread, but the exact formula is :

Damage Taken = Damage * 0,98^armor

Essentially, every new point of armor reduces the damage you take by 2% when compared to before that point of armor.

I see, I thought that each point of armor reduced the damage taken by 2% of the total damage.
In my head the the formula looked like:
Damage Taken = Damage - (Armor * 0,02 * Damage) with a minimum of zero. It just seemed more intuitive.

Anyways, thanks for the clarification.

… and said damage is then applied to shield, and the remaining to health, right ?

If you mean the "damage taken" part, then yes.

Yup, any damage taken is applied to shields first, any exceeding damage is then applied to health. And Armor does apply equally for both shield and health.

This was incredible info, so glad you dropped by to answer the question. Let me know if you're willing to answer other mechanical questions, I've some curiosities about the game.

Sure, just hit me up here or in another thread. We tend to compulsively check the forums :p
