[SOLVED] Legate/Magistrate Favour decay SUPER Quick?
So I've been playing on normal difficulty and I'm finding it very hard to keep the favour for the two guys in the positive zone, the market doesn't stock up wine quickly enough for me to keep those two happy. Although I didn't have the wine cellar, I did have the 1 wine/day upgrade and still falling behind on favour, while buying wine whenever available in the market.

I do also make sure I have more than the initial amount its set to on the magistrate/legate screen, and even without the events that may cause loss of favour, favour still decays at a crazy rate.

Am I doing something wrong? Am I giving them too much initially?

I noticed this on Hard difficulty, couldnt keep up with the amount of wine needed to satisfy just one of them for more than a few days.

I end up just ignoring both of them as trying to keep them even remotely happy was a dead end street.

I haven't played since a few small updates so I'll have to boot the game up again and see if normal difficulty is like this now too.

Good to know it wasn't just me experiencing this, although that being the case in Hard difficulty makes sense, don't see why it should be like that in Normal.

Would be great to see what other players are experiencing too

When your game start you buy wines and you give to both of them up until it's 32 wines without giving them the 32. So 1,2,4,8,16 wines. They should be good after that for the start.

Right after giving them wines you ask them to patronage a gladiator. It will raise their bar even further. Keep giving them wines.

Use the events and try not to make them go down if you can. After playing for a while you know what to choose in most events.

Never reject a fight. Instead sacrifice 1 slave against whatever the fight is. That is if you can only do that because the fight seems to hard for you or you arent sure you can win.

You can do exhibition fights too.

If you do that you shouldnt lose much favor with them.

On what difficulty ? On normal all that's needed is to keep them drunk as their disposition barely degrades ... at least it never used to,I stll need to play the most recent version however so my knowledge may be old.

I do exatly all the things you have mentioned above, and I do mean EXACTLY the same, the favour literally DECAYS over time, at a speed so fast that I can't keep up with the decay even if I keep buying wine and bribe the two. And I do the right option which gains favour in events as well.

I've even tried getting the Agent for secrets I can give to one or the other, and even with that it doesn't keep up with the decay rate

Just played 60 days of a normal run.Nothing seems to have changed much in regards to keeping favor with the mag/leg and had both of them in my pocket at impressed by giving them wine and patronage of a gladiator.

That is so weird, I wonder if my local files are ♥♥♥♥♥♥ or something.

I dunno, but what you describe sounds an awful lot like what I experience on Hard difficulty. The favor bar empties faster than it can be filled even when concentrating on just one of them.

I'll try moving the difficulty bar to the very lowest of the "Normal difficulty" then.

update: Moving the difficulty bar as close to "mild" as possible while still being in the "normal" difficulty zone has solved what I was experiencing, it seems I was indeed in hard difficulty even though the setting said otherwise.

Make sure your max wine in hand is GREATER than the send wine, if you give less wine than what they want it doesn't do anything for them.

It actually only has to be greater than or equal to, but yes I am aware.
I believe I also stated that I do what you have suggested in my initial post, I do wish people would read the post properly before posting a reply just from reading the title.

Anyhow, as Temper has previously stated, it seems that the game has put me in the hard difficulty instead of normal difficulty hence the different conditions. I should and will make the post marked as solved.
