All 3 (with the bard) can upgrade gear, and provide decent buffs.
educator gives 25% damage buff which is insane if you go hard with murmillos like i did. i had the weapon master card for 35% increased damage on one of my murmillos and straight up one shot over half the enemies i faced in the pit fights.
but i think i would drop the bard for the smith since upgrades get really expensive later on especially if you have someone die and the free upgrades AND cheaper upgrades are awesome. i think the difference maker would be how much it actually increases strength and weapons training. cause it takes a very long time to get a skill to its next level once you start getting past 30 in a skill so idk how useful the bard would be in that regard. meanwhile you can see the damage the educator gives you, the healing the sacerdos gives you, and the upgrades the faber gives you.
i'm still gunna give the sacrifice the gods person a try because you can reduce enemy attack proficiency or their health so you can kill them even faster with murmillos.
