Too much text.
Damn, I hope this game has some sort of campaign where you retire at the end. Not some clock ticking down. More like Sid Meiers Pirates.
Do you know what an arbitrary number is ?
"subject to individual will or judgment without restriction; contingent solely upon one's discretion".
The 365 days isnt subject to judment without restriction. It's a specified number. Which isnt arbitrary.
An arbitrary number would be let's say. "How much time do you think there is left before the bomb explode" and we both would guess the amount of time left without knowning. That would be arbitrary numbers.
And yes it's obvious. A number counting down is called a countdown which always result in something happening when it reach 0.
