There are three coop tags on steam.
Online Coop
Local Coop
Coop
The third one just means there is a form of coop - Online OR Coop. Sorry :/
OP: Devs have confirmed the coop is local only. I got absolutely great experiences with programs like Parsec. ( Often I even have a better experience with Parsec than with actual online coop ). The "host" need a decent upload rate though. If you havent tried it, I would definitely give it a try.
Solo, local coop or online coop through Parsec -- If this game is half as fun as the first its gonna be a BLAST
:)
It doesn't magically turn a local game into a networked game. It doesn't emulate a second controller or record the host's screen.
Stop talking about VPNs like Hamachi unless you are trying to play a non-Internet (LAN-only) game across the Internet.
