So IDK if that's a bug or something is up, but there was 2 choices, kill Ciro and rank up, or let him win by forfeiting, I then chose to let him win which directed into me fighting him, which ended up having him dead. W. T. F?!

same, apparently you had to block his attacks, to "let him win" and not let him beat you to death.
