Extreme lags in coop
Me and my friend bought DL2 recently but we cannot play together because of extreme lags and fps drops, any fixes? Anyone had this problem before?

You're not going to see any fix until Techland fixes it on their end. I'd say refund, but seeing as how it takes 2-3 hours to get through the intro plus how you've been trying to playing coop, you're well past the refund phase.

Either suffer with it and keep trying to play coop or wait for months, maybe years, before Techland fixes it.

Was it always like that? Or it's recent problem?

I played coop at release and I don't think it was as bad as it is now. We tried again today and it's so janky:
1. there were zombies not detecting us when we were right beside them,
2. my partner's icon was dissapearing from the compass, and the open world,
3. lag during cutscenes was longer than ever before.

I don't recommend the game for coop but for solo it's fine.

Are the coop sessions hosted on techland servers or host's internet?

Folks that live in the same house, trying to play coop have been reporting these issues as well as folks across the globe. Sounds like the hosting is handled on servers outside and if it's not, then Techland really did a crappy job coding online play.

It baffles me that some games can't figure this stuff out when meanwhile you've got games like Borderlands 1, 2 or 3 that have long since used netcode that works almost flawlessly.
