Crash on startup, black screen

title, i've verified, restarted steam and put in /nolightfx in properties nothing worked

If your game starts up and movies are playing but it crashes around 10 secs after you are in the main menu:

1. Open notepad (the most basic windows one for text editing) and go to 'open' a file

2. IMPORTANT: In the window that now shows up on the bottom right select all datatypes in the dropdown menu cause the file you gonna edit is an *.src file

3. Navigate to C:\Users\+Username+\Documents\dying light 2\out\settings and open 'video.scr' (make a backup in case you fudge something up!)

4. In the bottom half of the document you find 'RendererMode("d3d12")' -> change it to "d3d11"

5. Now save in notepad and see if your game stil crashes

did this but i changed it to d3d12 instead cus it was already d3d11 still not working, maybe it has something to do with graphics update

Sorry to hear that but maybe you find something in this file that you can change - btw check if you are blocking some connections cause it also crashes if some are blocked - don't ask me if it is some data protection

pretty sure most of the people here cant even open the game even if their specs are way above the recommended , its just a endless black screen after the launcher

Okay upon trying everything I can.... i reduced my frame rate to 60 and now it will load but, my saved game has been deleted... all my stuff wiped out! very disappointing!!!
