Need A bit of help
New player so pardon if the question seems 'basic.' I am generally enjoying the game other than a few 'Darn, not again' moments. NO complaints.

I'm only level 2 and not expecting things to be handed to me. I don't mind working at my character progression, even grinding. That said, I am having a lot of difficulty at night with the chases an/or the density of mobs. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. It can't be blind luck.

I've succeeded at a couple of chases but just barely. I have a quest (level 1 quest from the Bazaar area) to go into a dark hold to rescue someone (maybe) but every time I leave the UV safe areas I run into 2 or more of the 'big bad guys' and have to run away from the area (and /or die). I am trying to start the quest (and general dark hold explores) as close as possible, sneak around (sneak doesn't seem to work - all the mobs just head straight at me) and use survivor sense as much as possible to hopefully avoid the 'big bads'

I don't claim to have any sort of elite skills but I'm a decent player overall. Do I need to just grind a few levels during the day? I'm feel I'm kind of stuck without being able to get the GRE chests and level up HP/Stam. I did read a Reddit post where some folks seemed suggest skipping night completely for new players at least for a while. If so, ok. I'm down. Just not sure what to do. Can this b s done solo?

Again, no complaints. Just need some helpful advice.

And on a side (ish) note, if leveling up by grinding is a way of possibly succeeding, can I use a community map perhaps then switch back?

Thank you for any assists

P.S. for the individual who came into my game (if you read this) I apologize for leaving. I didn't know games were 'Public'. I thought I had somehow done something wrong and gotten into YOUR game by accident. I set my game to Private shortly thereafter.

Thank you both. I was just reading it. Not 100% sure about the night stuff But I can get behind 'do stuff' and 'loot stuff' for a while.

Equip yourself with Ranger gear since they have reduced detection rates. Also at low levels you should mostly avoid nights in my opinion, or if you don't / can't because of quests, make use of the tall grass areas with the firelight bugs, don't use the streets, take your time and sneak a lot, and get the skill where you can sneak faster as it can be a life safer. It's still going to be a bit hard since the spawn rates for them are quite aggressive, particularly for new and early players. Dark hollows and stores don't have big guys inside of them during the night so if you can get yourself into one without being detected then you should be good. Also it doesn't hurt to focus on fixing windmills and homes during the day to give you more UV safe areas and beds just in case you get yourself into a chase.

That was where I was seeming to go. Thank you. I'l poke around with the night stuff but on a limited basis. The 'day' stuff I'm feeling pretty good about 90% of the time. Thank you!

Just complete all the side quests and look for inhibitors throughout the map. And you won’t notice how your character’s level will increase. Don't miss out on any side quests and especially look at how much EXP e they give. Some can give 5000 experience - which is a lot.

Use coins, bricks, bottles, firecrackers and the like to distract enemies so you can sneak past.

parkour is the key of the game. Use them a lot probably you dont need anything. Also i prefer you to collect blueprints and upgrade them.

Hi, just come to the dark place where you need to be during a day time, wait untill night comes nearby (don't go immidiatedly, waint like 30 minutes passed into the night - its necessary to let Big Bads pass out) and come inside. Here you are.
