-E3 2018 outfit and option to remove pilgrim bracelet
-Graphics Rework (E3 Skybox with dynamic clouds and sun), add more weather, improve shadow (E3 Shadow was better) and Textures rework make parkour objects like ziplines, Ropes, Etc blend in with environment because they stick out like sore thumb, Make places actually look like european country with medieval places, fire stations, police stations, road, buidlings texture needs alot of rework to look good also it would be cool if they added damaged places so player can sometimes accidently step on broken stuff so it can actually add some dangers to parkour
-They should make climbing more satisfying like E3 has it and add radial blur for parkour since it looks much better (2018-2019 and 2021 trailers had this and it made parkour absolutely better) and also bring back 1.00 Monkey bar jump and 1.00 Dropkick and remove float from it, Fix paraglider's hand clipping and give it e3 holding, Add close ledge grab from E3, Fix running animation and also it would be cool if Techland added some immersive animations for things like in DL1 for example opening doors, looting (Crane got close to loot) if they fix flashlight they should also add a small detail of Aiden turning on his flashlight with his hand or turning it off
-Making dismemberment/gore even better like changing sound effects for dismemberment for example when you dismember a zombie with a sharp weapon you hear annoying metal sound or when you hit a zombie with a blunt weapon you hear a goal or whoosh sound these sounds takes away satisfaction of gore and makes it annoying when you hear it everytime so it should be replaced with bones and flesh getting cut sound and also making physics equal to DL1 so it can feel like I'm hitting something and not a piece of paper and also it would be great if Blood worked dynamically instead of being static like blood sliding down the wall like in DL1 and better texture for blood too.
-Fix flashlight like giving it inertia, giving it shadows, giving it better color and make sure flashlight is visible on player so it can be immersive
-Make AI smarter and better, Humans should do smart things and zombies should be dumb and Volatiles should be reduced but have same terrifying AI as Alien isolation Alien
-Add more enemy variants like PK dogs, Crossbow PKs, PKs that holds a shield and rarely a pk/renegade with a scorpio
- Instead of adding elemental zombies like burning goons or freezing zombie they should more realistic zombie types like Biters who just turned recently and carrying a weapon, A dismembered zombie, A zombie that a sharp weapon got stuck in them
-Reducing stunlock enemies it's just not satisfying but rather annoying
-Adding more random events like merchant roaming around map, Pks and Survivor having a combat or sometimes being ambushed by renegades
-UI change would be so great since game is meant to look medieval or modern dark age most of font should look like Medieval which E3 had these fonts also changing hud, icons to look more cooler and great
What makes the game frustrating for me? Maybe the fact I have to fix their game for them by writing up Community Ideas on what to add/improve. I don't see ANY other company doing this... oh and my idea will get rejected if it doesn't align with a vision that so far hasn't done the game much good.
Guns good, volatile update awful beyond measure, I don't really think things will get that much better honestly.
- too much copy pasted areas while DL1 had unique areas for quests, dark zones
- city map too copy pasted, DL1 had unique city districts like slums, city, beach, industrial and so on
- boring main story
- blackwashing Lavan between trailers and release -> DEI fundings?
- buggy release, lost 30hrs playtime because save wasn't recognized anymore or black sceen after final boss blocked me from ng+
- instead of real content like new areas we only get outfit dlcs nobody asked for
- bring guns back like fans wanted but made them only available with bounty quests (life service crap) instead of putting them into the normal loot pool of enemies / chests
I guess the heads behind DL1 already left Techland long ago and we need to wait for another revival attempt of this genre.
DL2 is an RPG game, trying to have some horror elements added to it.
Imo if Techland wants DL2 to be succesful, they need to scrape this RPG nonsense (hundreds of bounties, world map flooded with icon and useless activities, random stats on gear, etc etc) and focus on the horror elements.
It is successful lmao. theyre likely making more money off of it too.
Id rather have the RPG stuff, makes progression more fun. I like dl1 for different reasons for dl2. I would rather not have borderline the same game two times in a row though.
Having this game be different by a good amount over DL1 makes DL1 still worth going back to play lmao. If this was just the same game but upgraded over DL1, then there would be zero point to play DL1 again.
maybe w.e they release the expansion itll have more horror in it, although the horror stops being scary after youve seen it a dozen times lmao, like im not scared of dl1 anymore on nightmare, because I realized how easy it was to get away from the horror. It was really only scary for the first playthrough, after that youll just end up running around at night for more exp lmao.
It would be cool to see them mix the 3rd game with RPG and more horror stuff.
