The main difference compared to DL1 is, that now DL2 uses a realistic value for gravity.
In DL1 the value was twice as big as in real live.

That's a lame explanation. It's a game and trying to claim it's gravity is more like real life isn't necessary because....it's a game. The parkour feels slow and floaty in DL2, it felt quicker and snappier in DL1. I couldn't get used to how slow and floaty I felt in DL2 (also, the gameplay was pretty crap after just playing DL1 so I don't like DL2)
How DL1 plays compared to DL2, if neither game were actually named anything I would think they're taking place on two different worlds or realms with how different they feel simply because of the floatiness of the parkour, like we're on the moon.
Making the claim that Aiden is "super human" and that explains his ability to jump and float through the air is also a stupid explanation. Based on how the story plays out and how pathetic he is in terms of stamina/health/strength when you play as him I wouldn't even think he was "super human" at all, but more of a super wimp.
I guess that's just my take on it.
(DL2 is an okay game and fun, but it pissed people off and rightly so)
I preorder the game and waited a year for them to fix it before playing it and the game still feels off and not right imho)
Dying light 2 feels slow and like you are running in slow-mo. Jumping on clouds. So I'm not sure about that "gravity is closer to real gravity" in the second one.
It was designed with David Belle:
