Double jump not working often?

So Ive unlocked the skill and it says to press the jump key twice. Ive been trying this for the last few minutes and while Ive seen the animation go off a few times, I can not get the double jump to work consistently. Is this a bug or is there a certain way Im suppose to approach/use it?

you have to be vaulting over something.

It's a pretty useless skill.

Same thing happens to me. I think you're actually supposed to use it after you vault over something, but even then I get it to work about 30% of the time.... unintentionally

The after vaulting one is a different skill.

Nah it's the same. The Double Jump is to go higher and the Far Jump is to go farther.

It works how it should. I have gotten some use out of it. It just has a misleading name.

maybe is it tied to your skills if they are to low or over used you might fail a dj?
