Motion sickness??
Anyone else experiencing motion sickness when playing? wasn't a problem for me in the first game but wowee its bad attempting to play this. tried doing all sorts of things like disabling motion blur and head bob but nothing seems to work. I think its head bob when turning or something cuz whenever i turn it hits hard. Just wanted to know if anyone else was experiencing this and if they solved it somehow. Cheers

dunno

have you tried increasing the fov?

https://www.nexusmods.com/dyinglight2/mods/31

that mod might help too as it removes that blur effect when moving around

Yes i get it as well..

1. Go to your Game Location ( D:\Steam\steamapps\common\Dying Light 2\ph\source
2. Inside the "Source" folder you will find 5 Files, all we care about is the "data0" File
3. Open the "data0" File with Winrar
4. Once inside the "data0" Folder you want to look around for a Folder called "scripts"
5. Inside the "scripts" Folder you want to look around for a Folder called "player"
6. Inside the "player" Folder you want to look around for a File called "player_variables.scr"
7. Before you open that File, make sure to rename the .scr to .txt otherwise you wont be able to edit the File
8. After completing Step 7 go inside the File and use the Search Function and search for "HeadBobFactor"
9. Edit the "1" to a "0"
10. Save
11. Rename the same File from .txt back to .scr
12. Done, HeadBobbing should now be disabled.

Courtesy of Goobi or Gobii (I think his name was)

Also, under the same area (sickness test), you can alter the FOV changes that comes when you run. I put mine to 0, and it went away. :)

I use Winrar to open Data0.

It doesn't fix everything but it helps some what. Updates can reset it.

Trying turning off Motion Blur. That always makes me feel sick. Disabling it also increases your FPS significantly.

I was having some trouble when I first started. Lowering my settings to increase the frame rate fixed it for me. Mostly 60 with dips to 50 was not cutting it.

Does this prevent you from playing multiplayer/co-op?

Is there any confirmation this will not potentially result in a ban? I know it's happened to more but one instance I know very well was COD Ghosts had no FOV slider and the people that used a mod to do it ended up VAC banned. Some of them had it undone because the actual DEV TEAM had said it was ok you use.

Do we have any confirmation this is ok to use? It is *technically* a cheat...

there's no anti-cheat in the game and it doesn't use vac

Mods could get you banned early on in Dying Light 1 but not here. there is no VAC and no servers.

Thank you - I have the game loaded up and I need an FOV before I can play.

The head bobbing is an issue even if you don't get motion sickness. I wish there was a way to tone it down.

Oh hell yes, thank you!

Pretty sad when regular people can figure this all out, and the devs can't implement anything.
