This is because the mission boundary comes from your OLD missions you've already done, so maybe what Techland should do is, ON loading a save file, check the journal and 'confirm' all of them are cleared of mission boundaries by 'completing' any objectives in the missions so the out of mission area boundary gets removed.
The 'jump to next mission point' is more of a bandaid than a fix, it does not clear the mission out of bound that occurs if you play co-op with someone and it triggered from their early game missions that you've already done in your single player (if you help a rank 1 player in his game, it breaks your save as a rank 5).
