As for Hakon, I've never seen a single time anyone seriously said it was 'romance' with him (stupid trolls like the one calling names above doesn't count). Maybe it's just bad writing, idk, I've just seen people play the game on youtube and they always 'romance' Lawan and not always save Hakon.
Maybe it's just the fact that with male protagonist any adult female character that appears in game almost always eventually turns out to be his love interest as the story progresses (if she's not his wife already). Kinda 'Chekhov's female character', I'd say. Always there to become a girlfriend.
