Zombie Density being the biggest one.
In Dying Light 1 i often encountered a massive horde of zombies and had to plan my route beforehand. In DL2 i can just slaughter the few that are around making the area completly safe.
Ragdoll effects feel super disconnected. In DL1 they tumbled down, in dl2 you have that weird disconnect where they have a brief moment levitating before they properly fall down.
All the spike traps have the same issue.
The lightning is so much brighter and vibrant(this purely a personal issue to me) . DL1 brought the proper feeling of that apocalyptic world you are exploring.
Even more troubling that the E3 2018 trailer was way more towards DL1 in its artstyle.
In DL1 the night was so dark you literally had to turn on your flashlight. DL2 is so much brighter. Specially in the dusk period of time. just when the sun is gone and the moonlight is not quit there yet. ( again, this is probably an artistic choice so i just mention it to be here :P)
Flashlight not casting any shadows (drives me nuts) no mater if you have raytracing on or off.
Overall the world it self felt so much more forgiving.
I encountred i think 1 maybe 2 volatiles in the open world just wondering about.
Or the Banshee after the introduction to it in the first mission i barely encountered them.
The Camouflage ability is completly gone.
No weapon throw option.
The combat (even tho i enjoyed the combat more) felt way more save. I can dodge and parry all incoming attacks no matter how many enemies are currently attacking. (which rarely is more than 5 tbh)
Stamina managment is also much more forgiving.
I could now move onto sound effects, partical effects and all the other areas of the game but i think i made my point.
Again tho, i am not claiming its a worse game. I enjoyed both DL1 and DL2.
As a pure parkour sandbox i think DL2 is better, but as a Zombie game its a massive downgrade.
LOL I see what you did there.
I offered no opinions, but Im the "opinion man" because you cant back up your opinions. So you have to defect your shortcomings on someone else.
It happens all the time, people with insecurities/pain/unhappiness often project their problems on to others to deflect from their own problems, rather then deal with reality.
Im not going to beak down every point, but I appreciate your opinions.
Agree to disagree on most. The spikes I totally agree with you on.
Isn't this what you are doing now? You literally don't read or outright ignore peoples post. Here is an example.
Bunny makes numerous references to what they perceive as downgrades. Then you post this absolute banger.
Can you read or are you just willfully ignorant?
Ofc you don't :D
Oh shucks, you missed the post right above yours. Yes Im just willfully ignorant. :P
Ahh you see where I see where I said "Im not going to break down every point". Thats where I saved us all a bunch of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and arguing that will get us nowhere.
Of course he doesn't, he admitted to being willfully ignorant. He could of course just save us the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and arguing by not posting ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ but he's just projecting his own insecurities and sadness on others. Just like he said.
Ok Im blocked. Feelings = hurt.
The point was, Im not required to respond to each of your opinions. I can simply agree with one or two and/or disagree with one or two and feel different about the rest. Which I did. You are just trying to take my post out of context so you can play the victim.
Thats really nice the way you took my literal words and flipped what I said and pretend to use it as a rational argument against me. Well done.
Even more interesting was that I wasnt even speaking to you, when I was commenting on how people take their insecurities and project them on others, but you feel the need to quote me on it.
One cannot pretend to make a rational argument. It wouldn't be a rational argument if it's pretend.....
Yes, I like to point out that you are engaging in the very same behavior you admonish. At least in my criticism I presented evidence for it.
Yes one can not use the words out of one persons mouth against them without pretending it was their own thought. Sorry I didnt explain my comment better.
