Dying Light 2 is not a linear game as was Dying Light 1 story. Decisions made during story will heavy impact your world (location control granted to Peacekeepers or Survivals)
And ALOT of stuff unlocking only in New Game+
Technically Dying Light 2 has 8 different endings (in reality in closer to 3 significant choices).
So basically Dying Light 2 has ALOT of replayability potential.
Your character progression is ALOT more significant that in Dying Light 1.
On the other hand, they could have just let a player decide if to save the Host progression for themselves or not.
