You can roll back your save. If I remember right...

1. Start up and wait for main menu
2. Click 'Play campaign'
3. Scroll saves until you find one out of the death loop
4. Hover over it and select 'rollback'

You're gonna need to remove all mods and mods left over in the files, otherwise you'll have this loop.

Yeah, if the mods cause the loop, that should be step one...

Okay if that the case how other people play the game with modded saves without this annoying death loop mechanism for so called cheating in a coop game that doesn't include PvP elements? that doesn't make any sense.

Probably because the mod is updated to the latest version. From modding myself, using mods that haven't been updated, that can cause problems.

Typical bug with mods diff that game version. Happened to me as well. What fixed it: Removed all mods from the game>loaded game without any mod(s)>saved game>added mods back>saved again, and everything went back to normal, unless you have some really old mod(s).

+1 to what is already said. We can't predict way mods will affect our game, there is thousands of them affecting hundreds of different files. There was a time a mod for changed FOV would cause death loop somehow :) So clean game version should help out, especially after verifying/reinstalling.
