Aren't the rooms supposed to be randomly generated, and have different encounters each time? I swear I saw that in the trailer..?

nope most rooms are always the same i mean yeah you get 1,2 or 3 different rooms here and there sometimes but most of the time its always the same ones and the rooms always have a specific encounter that has never been random for me so far after 5 different runs like when you get that one room you had before you already know whats gonna happen in that room i am also hella disappointed thought it actually had a lot of random stuff but well apparently not :I i mean for me its mostly the killing that i enjoy but if its always the same rooms over and over again with the same enemies in them again and again it gets boring hella fast :/

When I saw Tower Raids announced the very first time, I wasn't impressed honestly. I saw it and thought, lol, another useless addition, can't wait to never touch this.

Yeah, when linear games are done incorrectly, it's boring af for real.
Honestly this mode was never going to last anyway. Until they bring in some actual content to the game these mediocre grinds to artificially extend play time will drop off in just a few days at most. The promised second DLC turns into an independent entity so that pissed off a lot of people considering they were hoping for a continuation of Aiden's story. However they haven't really produced anything of any real substance since the start. They repackaged the Bozaak horde expansion from the first game into the games "first DLC" which was in itself just more grinding and stupid challenges. Whoever thought that "Hey we should add a boat load more of these challenges to the game!" should simply be fired. Its a post apocalyptic zombie game, nobody cares about metered time races. Instead of new quests, you get another vendor to grind for days trying to muster enough rep for some ♥♥♥♥ minuscule reward that doesn't even matter.

The main quest is all there is to do. That is a dumpster fire that they couldn't even be bothered to remove references from cut content out of the cut scenes. The choices in the story are ass because they don't really even matter. You had 2 actual choices that change the world and they aren't remotely meaningful. You have the "who to give the first water tower too" which just determines if the bazaar survives or not and the choice to drain the sunken city which they ruined themselves by removing the repeat loot boxes over there so there's no point to even go over there anymore. They cut the third faction, the choices all lead to the same place with slight different scenes and none of the characters are remotely flushed out.
I agree with the repetitiveness. I just did four "runs" (finished one, glitched into rooms and such and had to quit three), and had one different room change. Personally, I liked going in with your own gear like the beta version. Also, the item doubling glitch and chest refresh glitch. Oh, the good old days.

i dont need/want glitches to have fun thank you xD its annoying enough that objectives can bug out forcing you to abandon the run
ITS DEAD ISLANDS 2 'NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH' BUT WORSE=THAT MODE FAILED- WHAT WHERE THEY THINKING..
Maybe we'll get randomgen in future with updates, if not... people migh hate even more. Tbh no one cares that all of this is free. Some still going to waste words and hate.
