Wow performence is poor on the ROG ALLY X
I really can't put into words how frustrated I am considering I played Dying Light 1 to death. I've thrown every GPU I own at DL1 and it always manages to reach above 80FPS at 1080p, even the ROG ALLY X runs the game so well I can even run it at 1080p, all medium settings, with half view distance at locked 60fps and plays perfectly.

What happened to the optimization of this game, what went wrong here. Clearly the min requirements aren't correct here since this game require a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti but can't even run the game at 30fps locked at 900p with a rough 1650 equivalent (The ALLY X is an equivalent of a GTX1650 at max TDP and 8GB VRAM). There's actually no in game fps lock which is so weird since even Dying Light 1 has an in game fps lock but this game doesn't??

I literally need FSR - Balanced to make this game playable, clearly this game wasn't optimized well whatsoever because if I need to play the game at the lowest settings, lowest draw distance, have way above min requirements AND STILL need FSR to make the game even playable, this game clearly wasn't ready for a PC launch.

Is there anything I can do to make this even salvageable, any fps fix mods, or in-driver solutions I can use to increase the fps, cause this is ridiculous.

Just adding to say I experienced the same thing on my Ally X. Ended up deleting it, only play it on my PC now. Really, really unfortunate.

I don't have one, but it runs smooth like butter on Steam Deck, so it surprises me it would do so much worse on another handheld.

I have the same issue, I can play DL2 on my steam deck without any issues but I have to play it plugged in on my ally x bf it runs smoothly
